In 2005 Elefantos won several prices. This of course had an effect on young Elefantos. He got more and more impossible to deal with. In the end the only way out seemed to let him go.
In 2007 i took part in a residency in Tilburg arranged by the playground festival. I used this as an opportunity to do the last honors to Elefantos. I created a lifesize mannequin, dressed it up with his original outfit and send them to the sky with the help of numerous helium balloons.
Still, his melancholic travel is in no way to be understood as a suicide. He was laughing all the way up. And never came down ( to my knowledge ).
